2026 — April 21

  • World-class rebuild. Migrated to ESM Eleventy v3 config with build-time CSS concatenation, 26 partials, full light + dark themes.
  • New layout system with slide-in panel navigation, parent-navigable dropdowns, always-visible hamburger, theme toggle, skip link.
  • Added Pagefind full-text search (self-hosted, no third-party queries).
  • Added @11ty/eleventy-img image pipeline (AVIF + WebP + JPEG responsive).
  • Added instant.page-style link prefetch on hover.
  • Server-rendered heading anchors via markdown-it-anchor; click-to-copy heading link.
  • Expanded blog post layout: sticky TOC with scroll-spy, reading progress bar, social share (X / LinkedIn / email / copy), drop cap, author card, related posts, prev/next.
  • Added pages: FAQ, Privacy, Terms, Thank You, 404, Search, Resources, Style Guide, Editorial Standards, Contribute, Archive, Changelog.
  • SEO infrastructure: custom sitemap.xml, robots.txt, JSON-LD (WebSite, Person, BlogPosting, CreativeWork, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage), richer Atom feed.
  • Security headers via Cloudflare _headers: HSTS, X-Frame-Options, Permissions-Policy, etc.
  • Added humans.txt and .well-known/security.txt.
  • Swapped Google Fonts for Bunny Fonts (GDPR-compliant).
  • Auto-generated OG image and apple-touch-icon at build time from source SVGs.

2026 — March

  • Initial site scaffold — biography, timeline, 13 connections, 16 works transcribed from the Dresden Edition, 3 inaugural blog essays.
